THE ORGANIZATION
At CBC/Radio-Canada, we create content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. Our successes and accomplishments are driven by embodying and upholding our values: creativity, integrity, relevance and inclusion.

Our promise is to put you, our audiences, first; to prioritize our role as Canada’s most trusted
media brand; to earn your trust and work hard to keep it every day; and to build lifelong
relationships with as many Canadians as we can. We’re inspired to grow our lifelong
engagement with you.

We will reflect the range and richness of Canada’s diversity, celebrating our different perspectives, and all the things that bring us together. We will do this in our staffing, as well as our content choices.

Our local connections are the heart of our connection with Canadians. We will strengthen these connections with significant local and regional content that is relevant to people in their communities, and bring these communities to the rest of the country.
We will create the personal, relevant, and engaging experiences that Canadians expect. Our goal is to make sure all Canadians see themselves reflected in our digital services while connecting them to the many communities and voices that make our country great.

THE POSITION
This is your opportunity to help shape Canadian public broadcasting on all platforms by becoming the Regional Director for CBC Atlantic English Services.

As the Regional Director for CBC Atlantic, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and objectives for the region (Television, Radio, Web programming, Newsgathering, Production, Operations, and Administration) in the context of our Corporate three-year strategy, ‘Your Stories, Taken to Heart’, and the Local Services Strategy focused on three strategic priorities: “Content, Community and Culture”.

Content: Significantly expand the impact, range, treatment and relevance of public service journalism and programming produced in our centres — and to ensure the primary focus of all content is on story and story development regardless of platform.

Community: A passionate force for public good in our communities by fostering a shared understanding about each other and a deeper sense of belonging to community

Culture: To be the leaders within CBC in creating and supporting a work culture that is inclusive - we all belong - creative, agile and resilient.

You will lead the regional management team, be responsible for establishing clear measures of success and will be accountable for the region’s results on all platforms.
