An Administrator/Executive Director
Queens Home for Special Care (Queens Manor) is a 61 bed long-term care facility located centrally in Liverpool on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and forward-thinking, well qualified individual who is prepared to commit to long term employment and to help to develop a strategic plan that would see improvements in our facility for the well-being of the residents.
Key qualifications include an appropriate degree with management experience including budget management; knowledge of long-term
care; familiarity with the Homes for Special Care Act and its regulations and requirements. The Board’s vision for Queens Manor is that is the residence of choice and the employer of choice. The successful candidate will have the skills to work with the Board and staff to achieve these goals.
Queens Manor in addition to quality care is noted for its recreational and entertainment programs which are dependent on our many volunteers. The Administrator will be able to work with these groups and with others in the community. As you will be on call to support the management team, it will be necessary to live within a one-hour drive of the Manor.
