This part-time position is responsible for leading the Commission and ensuring that it acts in the long-term best interest of the corporation.
The Chairperson’s primary role includes chairing the Commission and ensuring that it fulfi lls its mandate by providing leadership and direction to the Commission.

About the Canadian Dairy Commission
The Canadian Dairy Commission is a Crown corporation created by the Canadian Dairy Commission Act and reports to Parliament through the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food. Its mandate is to oversee Canada’s milk marketing system, and specifi cally to: provide effi cient producers of milk and cream with the opportunity of obtaining a fair return for their labour and investment; and provide consumers of dairy products with a continuous and adequate supply of dairy products of high quality.
